Char Siew @ BBQ Pork at Meng Kee, Glenmarie Shah Alam

We have tried many different restaurants, cafe, kopitiam, and mamak at Glenmarie area. Every time we passed by this Restaurant Meng Kee Char Siew, we could not go in as we could see that it was always very packed from far.

Today, we finally made up our mind, we must go and eat the Char Siew Rice. Since all the tables outside were full, so we walked inside.
Oh My God!! I was shocked! Speechless...

All the 30-40 tables were fully sitted, not even an empty seat available. Some of the bigger tables were shared by 2 different groups of people, and there were so many other waiting-to-sit-down customers aiming at those tables... We were stunned for a second......

Look at these 2 men, they were both NON-STOP chopping the chicken and the char siew... their speed could be easily 5 seconds per plate/ take away...

All the tables were ful, and whenever someone was about to finish the food, there were many waiting lists aiming at the tables..

We were standing there for about 10 minutes, we almost had to share a table with anther group of people. Thank God there were these 2 guys sitted ouside who had just finished their lunch called me, so i quickly sat there and called my friends to come outside...

It was a super duper hot Sunny Day, but we did not mind sitting outside on the pedestrian walkway, under the hot sun...

We kept taking pictures while waiting for our food to be served.

Bean Sprouts....

The tender and juicy Char Siew..

The Sausage is very scrumptious as well...

Roasted Chicken is just normal..

Of course we also had a plate of chicken rice each...

Everything cleared, super full!! It only cost us about RM 15 per pax.

I'm gonna takeaway this Yummy Char Siew and Sausages back home to Kuching tomorrow night!!!

Chul Pan and Bu Dae Ji Ge at I-Park Mall, Yong San-gu, Seoul

One of the afternoon, we went to I-Park Mall nearby Yong San Tower to eat the "Army's Pot". We had to walk like about 10 minutes, crossing 3 streets to reach here. Very tiring, that's the only weakness... But, the Koreans people are so used to walking so they felt that was normal...

 Finally, here we are......

oh... it's a new restaurant, just opened in April.

 The interior was nice.....

Table setting up was neat and clean as well...

Let's be seated and wait for our food to arrive..

I did not know what we were eating coz we told them we could eat everything, so they just ordered for us..

 Wow! This is our food!!
One of the very special criteria of Korean Food is >>Everything in 1 Pot!!!
Like this:

They call this "The ARMY's POT"!!! 1 pot for 4 people..
Noodles, sausages, ham, beans, cabbages, vermicelli noodles, pork, and the Kimchii Sauce!!!

Why is this called the Army's Pot (Bu Dae ji Ge)?? Coz in the past when the soldiers going into the war, they need to eat very quickly so they dumped everything in 1 big pot. In this way, you can eat everything together so it is faster!

Oh! I super love this Army pot, coz i am also a Steamboat lover!! hehe..
It was very spicy, but it was great to eat with some Coke and Sprite!!

My friend ordered the Pineapple juice as well, so we all tested it since it was such a giant pack!

In less than 15 minutes, we finished up everything in the pot.... Woohoo!! Fast??

Promotions? Sorry i can't read Koreans so i do not know what was it about...

It was a perfect lunch!!! I love it.....

Kuching Fest @ Food Fair August 2010

This year's Kuching Fest started on 31st July 2010, i was gonna fly to KL on the next day for 3 weeks so i might not have anymore chance to go to the Food Fair when i go back to Kuching.
Therefore, i die-die also must go to the Kuching Fest @ Food Fair.
Autumn must wave good bye to the Cat at Jalan Padungan every night.. She was excited to see this cat...

It was drizzling so we could not have our sweet time eating there so i just had a quick tour and take-away...

Fish Ball Curry, Pork sticks and Chicken sticks

 Japanese Style bbq...

It is sticks of chicken wrapped with cheesed bacon, very nice tat's why i bought 3 sticks...

Another special thing, only saw it in Korea before. Surprisingly we also have it in Kuching...

 Homemade Sushi for sale here...

I specially like the design of this stall, very outstanding...

This is what they call, Sausages in the hotdogs, lol....
Actually it is the glutinous rice wrapped with sausage...

Sausages wrapped in the roti canai...

This is a special Rice Ball, i bought this before during last year's food fair. They said the do not sell it during normal days, only during Kuching Fest in the month of August that you can find this..

Chicken Floos Crepe Roll is the name they gave themselves. basically, it's just normal pancakes wrapped up the chicken floss, and shredded cabage, nothing special and not worth it.

Last but not least, roasted Bird is a standard that we will buy every year at the Food Fair...
This time, i bought 6 birds for RM21.00

This stall is the most special stll, they have a big durian at the signage, promoting the durian mooncake ordering.. ery good marketing strategy.... cool!!!

I was searching for the "Long Xu Tang" but did not find any of the stall.... :(

Well, some people might think that there is nothing special about Kuching Festival as it happens every year during August.... But, to me it is totally a different meaning. There are so many types of food where they only sell at this particular time for this particular Food Fair.... You cannot find any of these food else where through out the year.....
So, for those of you who have not been to Kuching Fest @ Food Fair this year, hurry!!!
Food Fair ends on 22nd August 2010..... :)

Sick + boredom = homesick!!

I was totally "OFFLINE" since yesterday afternoon. I could not stop sneezing, and then started to feel the ache all over my body. i knew i got flu. Maybe it was because of the rain during lunch break yesterday? or maybe because i was too cold coz i forgot to wear my jacket at he bowling centre at Mid Valley.
Whatever.....
It doesn't matter coz nothing could change the reality no matter anyhow i am able to recall..
Still, i am sick, ill, flu, fever......

Thanks to Nicholas, as he was kind enough to search for a pharmacy with us around U1 area and then Giant, until i bought my flu pills from Guardian.. After i took the pill, i silent my noisy BB and began my long-hour of sleep starting 4pm till today around 5pm.
In between, when i was hungry i think i did wake up to drink water or milo, and then took pills and continue sleeping.... that was a long 25 hours of sleep....
and of course this morning, there were tonnes of miscall, msg, notifications, emails, etc....

Thank God i am feeling better now....
Also, if not because of the ilness, i think i won't rest.
and also have the time to post my Korean trip blogs and pictures into FB...
I had not rest well since many months ago...
Im always on the move, travel, work, my baby, my family, my secret project, my blogs etc....
There are just too many things that need to be accomplished!! i cannot waste even a ingle second!!
Well, now....I miss home... I miss my hubby.. i miss my baby....
